Once Upon A Time During The Colonial Times Lived A Brave Explorer

The lives of colonial times people, better known as settlers, are the stories of the building of a nation.

In early 17th century North America looks as the previous hundreds and perhaps thousands of years.

The law of the strongest and fittest survives is well at play here;

"indian tribes" conquering and being conquered in bloody and inhumane lawlessness when into the scene three small ships and about 103 men began to plant the seeds of freedom and government.

colonial times Colonial Times in America

These brave and noble early settlers knew that the best way to set any people free from this never ending cycle of tribe conquering and looting was to first set men free in their innermost being.

Establishing a moral compass within their souls would eventually turn the tide and bring about an era that paved the way to bring freedom to the rest of the world as never seen before.

The cornerstone of this great paving stage was, of course, the Bible which was extremely well received particularly among the tribes of what is now known as Florida and all the way across and stretching down every southern state and down to California.

Cabeza de Vaca tells us of the great revivals that were held all over our now southern states, he and his men were received in every new tribe they visited with utmost respect.

The word about these 'white' healers had been widely spread throughout the lands and the natives eagerly awaited a visit from these men. And so freedom had finally reached the last continent and the whole face of the earth was changed forever....

Find great and hard-to-find movies on eBay..

There's a lot of reasons I buy from eBay, here are my top 2.

1. Price, you simply can't beat it. You can even buy most movies for the same price it would take you to rent them from Amazon and iTunes.

2. Find almost any movie. In the process of building World History Movies.com I learned that lesson quite well, eBay is the first place I look when I am trying to find a rare film.

Colonial Times Early 1600 's

Early 1600's of colonial times are the most exciting of all.

People all over Europe began dreaming of a life in the "New World" and began making their way to the land of the free against unbelievable odds.

One of the most commonly known voyages ever to take place took place in 1620. Protestant English settlers landed in Cape Cod Bay fleeing persecution under the rule of Britain.
The Mayflower and the Speedwell departed the coast of Southampton, England in August 1620, a trip that will prove less than enjoyable. Storms and hardships are just ahead but the hope for freedom and the reliance on God keeps them alive.

Colonial Times and Pocahontas

Pocahontas and her support for freedom

The beautiful story of Pocahontas has been altered to the point that almost her life has almost been forgotten.

Here's a beautiful young indian princess who became one an icon of American freedom. She believed in the cause of honorable europeans to such degree that she explored Europe and married one of her children. No, not John Smith...

As a matter of fact, there's no evidence pointing to a romantic feelings, much less a romantic involvement between the two.

Very hard to find any historically factual information in this film, but the settings and costumes look terrific.

Colonial Times in the 1700 's

It was only a matter of time before settlers started moving west and growing in numbers. And as they did they found many welcoming natives who were willing to side with their affairs.

But eventually another two groups would not like that idea so much, the European powers who wanted control of the lands and the violent indians who did not want anybody invading their lands.
