The plot builds brilliantly, although at times not so accurately, on the lives of the shepherd boy and the giant he killed.
The giant Philistine looks just the way you picture him from the pages of the Bible, from his size to his personality and the kind of life he must had.
The movie is a major production, even by the standards of our own day. It does not give you the feeling some cheap modern movies portray.
A Great film considering the resources the makers had back in the 60's.
