The spiritual part of the movie, seems to me, is the focus and is done well while the historical part of it still lacks, as with most movies.

Most of the movie deals with the Exodus from Egypt and then the pace really starts to pick up, barely mentioning some parts.

Movie makers should have focused on telling few different aspects well, rather than skimming over many.
