--An ambitious film of the 60's attempts to reconstruct the lives of men during the time when dinosaurs roamed the earth.

Early man and "women" in the film find themselves constantly fighting dinosaurs and other creatures like those gigantic turtles.

You'd think that if they just ran away or found a way around them they'd be saving themselves a lot of trouble.

The film, as with any book or movie about prehistoric times builds more on science fiction than on actual events or fact.

Aside from the action sequences of the day, character grunts as their form of communication and at times costumes, the film would truly be a must pass.

But if you can overlook the obvious fantasy and have an appreciation for the type of films where realism was not a concern of the movie maker, then the film can give you as close a feel as we were able to find about prehistoric times.
