Samson and Delilah is a pretty steamy film for a Bible movie, but mostly accurate.
The Bible (Here's my favorite version from Amazon)
The Narrated Bible in Chronological Order (NIV)
Samson and Bible Characters
Elizabeth Hurley, Michael Gambon, Dennis Hopper, Diana Rigg, Daniel Massey, Paul Freeman, Ben Becker, Jale Arikan, Deborah Caprioglio, Alessandro Gassman, Pinkas Braun
I think everybody knows the story and everybody interprets it differently without much consideration for the whole moral of the story.
As you may have noticed, when it comes to reviewing movies, we err on the side of caution. We know that a lot of parents and teachers use movies to teach children and youth.
That being said, this movie cannot be made too steamy, but parental guidance is paramount here.
We live in a world where there is no satisfaction for human desires and lust and from this stand point the movie can never be too steamy.
So long as the "moral of the story" is clearly portrayed.
And Samson did not know that the Lord had left him
Somehow when we "fall in love" with the woman of our dreams everything just seems so right, nothing can go wrong.
I believe the movie clearly gets that point across if anyone is willing to listen.
Rest of review coming soon..
