John Kent Harrison, walks us through the story of a love that was destined to ruin Troy from the very beginning.
A fun story to watch but it's not the Iliad, only parts have been preserved while most of the story is written and built around a romantic and sad story of a city in ancient times that was to be destroyed.
The same goes for the 2004 version of "Achilles," it is not the book. Although this version is much better.
Perhaps it is worth to note that Stesichorus, later Euripides and Herodotus refused to believe that Helen had even gone to Troy, claiming that she'd only gone to Egypt.
I only mention this to illustrate how little we know about what really happened. Even though there seems to be a consensus of what "we think" took place in those ancient times of Achilles.
But I'm sure you'll be happy to know that, at least, in this movie Achilles is human and not in love with himself as Brad Pitt is.
