It Was the Best of Times, It Was the Victorian Age

More than enough historians agree that the Victorian Age was the best of times in all of human history.

And who can argue when names and inventions produced in the nineteenth century are some of the biggest ever produced.

Very few times in all of human history will you find such a writer as Charles Dickens or Alfred Lord Tennyson an inventor like Thomas Edison or the Wright Brothers, and for that matter a ruler like Queen Victoria herself.

Birth of the Victorian Age

Alexandrina Victoria was born in Kensington Palace, London in 1819.

After the death of her uncle, King William, when she was 18 years of age the princess was crowned Queen of England in 1838 at Westminster Abbey.

My quick reading list brings the "Victorian Age" to life, and the movies allow you to get a glimpse ;)
